About Beretta 90 Two

The Beretta 90 Two is a semi-automatic, blowback operated pistol, that was released in 2006 as an enhanced version othe Beretta 92. It’s chambered in 9mm, 9x19 and 9x21 respectively. The main difference between this model and the 92 model is the ergonomically enhanced design which the Beretta 90 Two has. It has an interchangable polymer grip and one of the smarter details is a dust cover on the accessory rail that allows various light/laser acessories to be added.

There are three version os the Beretta 90 Two available, Type F, Type D and Type G. They all differ in the trigger and safety. The Type F is the basic model, a double/single action (DA/SA) pistol with a manual safety lever that also serves as a hammer decocking lever. It operates just like the Beretta 92F. The Type G is a DS/SA pistol similar to the Type F, but the manual safety feature is absent. The "safety" lever serves only as a hammer drop device. The Type D is a "double action only" pistol. The hammer follows the slide down to the uncocked position after a shot is fired, which desires a double action trigger pull for the next shot. There is no manual safety, half cock hammer notch, or hammer drop lever, as none are needed. The Type D is a self-loading pistol that operates like a "hammerless" double action revolver. The Type D retains an exposed hammer, however it cannot be manually cocked.
